Live journal just asked if I wanted to restore from a draft. My draft consisted of one hit of the enter key. So yes. I haven't really posted in a while. At this point...I did stop writing because I was talking with my brother and playing with iTunes and the power then went out in all of Middletown. From what I understand there was a transformer explosion in Neptune which knocked out power for most of Monmouth County. Houses. Street Lights. Everything. We lost power at about 530...and got it back around 8pm. So here I am...the next day. Night actually. I don't think I its for a lack of interesting things that I haven't been posting. There were definitely times where I would snap a picture or something would happen and I would think to myself I really should post about this. But as you can see that never happened. My car spin out was kinda serious so I thought to post that. That was probably more cathartic than anything. I beat Fallout 3. Which I can safely say...was one of the best games I ever played. I think the only way they could have improved that game was to have made some cgi movies instead of stills. But that's pretty nit picky. I then followed up that game with Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold. I can not say this game is the polar opposite of Fallout 3. But I've played flash games with more playability. Hell, the Old Commander Keen games pulled me in better. It got such good reviews. Was compared to Baldur's Gate and Planescape Torment and Knights of the Old Republic. This game falls completely short of all of these titles. It almost makes me wish I played fallout 3 after this one because it went from playing a game that was so much fun I would find myself thinking about the game while offline. And now that I have Neverwinter Nights...as you can see...I am journal writing instead. Which I suppose is a good thing right? Of course, Hopper 2 was no where near able to play games like fallout 3 and Neverwinter Nights... Which is why it was necessary to build Hopper 3. Hopper 3 is a pretty sweet machine. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 8.00 GB ATI Radeon HD 4800 300Gb main 1tb slave drive. And yes. I made the switch to windows vista. In October...I went to Chicago for a week with my girlfriend and my good friend Keith to see our good friends Drew and Patty. I took a lot of pictures. Maybe I will post them. In october I went to a wedding...the wedding of none other than Deb Win. Then afterward we drove from the wedding location on Long Island all the way to atlantic city and putzed around AC and miraculously doubled our money. Eventually we took another trip the following month with my brother and his girlfriend and did less than fantastic. Oh well. I am still working in the OR. I am still on orientation. Sometimes I feel I have not excelled as well as I would have liked. I feel behind. There is so much to remember. But the nurse educator keeps telling me I am doing very well. perhaps I am just being hard on myself, but I don't think so. But tomorrow, I am going to be be doing back to back cases all day...Small cases (which are sometimes more daunting than big cases). To make things worse...I am going to be with Suzanne Pincus. This woman really gets on my nerves...and I am serious when I say this that every time she is my preceptor...I want to go home and drink. They laid off my boss (the woman who hired me). A few weeks prior they laid off a large chunk of middle management. Then this past week...they got rid of a few more people I suppose. When the lay off cloud began to form I immediately thought that it was going to be something that will ultimately get rid of me. But I am continually being told that chances are it will not effect me. Bed side nurses are some of the last people to get laid off, I am told. So we will see. I always approached this job like it was something that I would stay with for two years and move on. The thought never really crossed that they might not keep me around for two years. Its also crazy that I went to a wedding Saturday night and my coworkers were all asking about the layoffs at my job even though they are all from Bayshore. Everyone was curious and I guess its all connected. Though most of them were concerned that instead of layoffs they were going to straight up and close Bayshore. I went back to bayshore to pull a short half shift. It sucked. And it certainly reminded me why I left the job in the first place. Understaffed. I was supposed to work from 7-11. I did not leave until 1230. AND on top of that...they wanted me to stay because they were understaffed for the night. Eh. No. No more. I am really hoping to buy the blackberry storm when my contract ends on December 17th. So perhaps as a christmas gift to myself I might get myself one. Yeah. This post has been sitting in semagic for the past three days. You can see how hard it is for me to post. I was sick on friday. Well. I felt like I was going to be sick on thursday...Friday AM I was feverish with chills. So. I called out. Not is saturday. I just finished going to a wedding. Reception is in an hour. I am still sick but I can hide it well. My gf is sick as well. I don't know what it is. Not quite a flu. Not quite a cold. Not quite fun at all. So its sunday now. Sam and I are watching Breakfast club and making fun of it. Its the the "We are not alone" scene. Honestly how retarded is this scene? I always felt I was too young when this movie first came out for it to really have spoken to my generation. But I have always thought this movie was absolute garbage. And anthony Michael hall totally got the shit end of the stick even if he got to the end of the movie monologue thing. Eh. I should post this before I lose it. I hope all of you are well. Happy Holidays. ...this is neutralface fading back in the darkness...Current Mood: sick Current Music: GLaDOS & Jonathan Coulton - Still Alive

http://politicalquiz.net/The following are your scores. They are based on a gradual range of 0 to 12. For instance, a Conservative/Progressive score of 3 and 0 will both yield a result of social conservative, yet 0 would be an extreme conservative and 3 a moderate conservative Conservative/Progressive score: 10 You are a social progressive. You generally consider yourself a humanist first. You probably think that religion and patriotism go too far in society. You probably consider yourself to be a citizen of Earth first rather than a citizen of your country. Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 12 You're a Social Capitalist, you think that, left to its own, Capitalism leaves a lot of people behind. You think that Health Care should be free to all, that the minimum wage should be raised, and that the government should provide jobs to all that are capable of having them. You likely hated the Bush tax cuts, and believe that the middle class has gotten poorer, and the rich have gotten richer over the past several years. The far extreme of social capitalism is socialism. Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 2 You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism. Pacifist/Militarist score: 4 You're a Moderate. You think that in very rare occasions, the United States should invade a country in order to make the world better by spreading democracy or ending a tyrants rule. You also think that defense is very important, and we shouldn't lower the defense budget. You think that, while the Iraq War probably was a mistake, that we can make the world a better place by sticking with it and spreading democracy in the middle east. Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Hardcore Democrat ...nf...Current Mood: calm Current Music: Crooks and Liars Videos
